First time trying these. I found them pretty easy to fill. Here's pics of one of mine with mixed trailing lobelia with pink and white gypsophila with organic compost mixed with slow release plant feed. (Also used liquid feed twice) This is the result only one month later! (Planted May 17th - pics today June 20th) I love how different these baskets look in comparison to the regular shaped versions. The flowers literally will make the baskets disappear!! They feel pretty sturdy for the size and weight when filled with your choice of plants and compost. The only thing that I you have to take into consideration when buying these is the type of plants/flowers, and whether they can handle any kind of drought. Because of the holes being all the way around the baskets, drought resistant plants or flowers will require a fair amount of watering. I tend to do mine in the morning or evening, and soak them thoroughly. Or twice a day if it's a very hot day (not that we've had many of those so far this year!). Again, this will depend on what you choose to plant - I didn't think that far ahead, but it's a sacrifice I'm happy to make because they really are showstoppers!!! Highly recommend these if you like a compliment from your neighbours or complete strangers walking past!! Haha!!!
